ARIDEZ/ Aridity (2025 – en proceso)

Proyecto en proceso que investiga el territorio como una construcción sensible, histórica y relacional. En una región marcada por el tránsito y el extractivismo surge una pregunta central: ¿cómo nos vinculamos con el territorio que habitamos y convertimos en hogar?

Las imágenes se producen a partir de recorridos nocturnos por el monte nativo, en los límites entre la pampa salina desertificada y el monte bajo chaqueño. La fotografía se activa aquí como acto de presencia más que como registro.

La luz lunar, el fuego, y la luz artificial operan como fuerzas contrapuestas: una responde a los ritmos del tiempo largo, las otras irrumpen como gesto humano que revela y transforma el paisaje.

Este proyecto se desarrolla en el marco de la Residencia Fuera del Tiempo en el Área Natural Protegida, con el apoyo de la Secretaría de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sustentable de la provincia de San Luis.

 

This ongoing project investigates territory as a sensitive, historical and relational construction. In a region marked by circulation and extractivism, a central question emerges: how do we relate to the territory we inhabit and call home?

The images are produced through nocturnal walks in the native forest, along the boundary between the desertified saline pampas and the low Chaco woodland. Here photography operates as an act of presence rather than simple documentation.

Moonlight, fire and artificial light function as opposing forces: one follows the rhythms of long time, while the others appears as a human gesture that reveals and transforms the landscape.
